Authorities at the Shakhina Psychiatric Hospital have appealed to government and nongovernmental organizations (NGO�s) to quickly come to their aid before the health facility finally collapses. Our reporter Kwabena Ntow, in a live interview on Peace FM�s mid day news reported that the health facility as it stood now, is in a dilapidated state and served as the only rehabilitation center in the whole of Northern Region. As a result of the fiasco, the authorities at the hospital which is located at Tamale insist they could no longer accommodate the sick since working at the rehab center had become a monster home.
