The former Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has disclosed that the award given to the C.E.O of Despite Group of companies, Dr Osei Kwame Despite has been long overdue. According to him such people should be constantly honored not only by universities outside the country but by �our own universities�. �Does it have to take a university abroad to honour people like Osei Kwame Despite who in diverse ways are helping in the development of the country? We should be ashamed of ourselves as a country for failing to honour our heroes� he fumed. One can recall that the Osei Kwame Despite was given a Doctorate Degree of Human Resources. This status was conferred on him by the Canterbury University in the UK a few days ago. Speaking to the issue an interview with Hello FM�s King Edward, the former Member of Parliament recounted the humble beginnings of Mr. Osei Kwame despite adding that he has really come far not with pride but solemn attitude and behavior to lift the name of Ghana to catch the dies of the international community. He added that he has not only brought glory to himself but also the entire nation as well the 100s of his workers. �He has also transmuted poverty into riches in the life of so many Ghanaians...He could have decided to be content with the wealth he has created and enjoy with his family but once again the selfless trait in him has led not only in the transformation of people's life but the economy of the country as a whole. For me I will forever be grateful for the meritorious honour bestowed on Despite even if the country fails to honour such heroes� he indicated.
