"The Judges Are Worried"...Tsatsu Is Asking Unnecessary Questions and Wasting Time

General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie seems to be out of patience with Tsatsu Tsikatas style of cross examination and believes counsel for the third respondent (NDC) is now delaying court proceedings by asking unnecessary and repetitive questions. Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata has been over hyped and now appears arrogant in court. We thought he will finish with his cross examination today(Wednesday) because he doesnt even know what to ask now and keeps repeating questions. He is now asking unnecessary questions and you could tell the judges are worried but cant stop him. He (Tsatsu) is now frustrated. We are just been patient with him now in the court room because what he is doing is irksome. He has nothing reasonable to ask than to keep repeating questions, he said Justice William Atuguba on Wednesday barred counsel for the NDC, Tsatsu Tsikata from asking Dr. Bawumia to identify any extra pink sheets, in the ongoing 2012 election petition. This was due to a ruling by the court on Tuesday to the effect that pink sheets which have some irregularities would not be overlooked when properly brought to their attention. Speaking to Asempa FM, Sir John indicated that, Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata is over performing his duties as a lawyer to cross examine and rather causing trouble for the Electoral Commission (EC) since they are the organizers of the election and not the NDC and Tsatsu. Tsatsu Tsikata is crying more than the widow (EC). He is putting the EC into trouble because of the kind of questions he is asking now. He and the NDC did not conduct the election so why is Tsatsu Tsikata so worried about pink sheets and putting the EC in trouble? If he (Tsatsu) thinks he knows than any other person, he will end up disgracing himself, he said. Whiles admitting that Counsel for the Third Respondent taught him in law school, Sir John however, pointed out that Tsatsu's court practice is below average. "Though Tsatsu taught me, his level of intelligence cannot be compared to most of his students now, since some of them are far brainy than him (Tsatsu Tsikata)," he said.
