School Appeals For Support After Rainstorm

Recent heavy rains have caused extensive damage to the Tweneboa Kodua International School at Abuakwa in the Atwima Nwabiagya District in the Ashanti Region. The rains ripped off the roofs of two blocks of the school and destroyed furniture and school supplies. More than 70 pupils have been displaced and relocated to other classrooms. Conducting newsmen round the damaged blocks, the headmaster of the school, Nana Adu Boateng, called on the Atwima Nwabiagya District Assembly, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and old pupils to assist the school in its efforts to repair the two blocks. The proprietor of the school, Mr Kofi Djan Bandoh, added his voice to the calls for support and appealed for building materials to repair the two blocks.
