A member of the NDC communication team, Gabby Assumeng, has stated that the comportment of the lead counsel for the petitioners in the on-going contestation of the 2012 election results in the Supreme Court, Lawyer Philip Addison has underlined the fact that Tsatsu Tsikata, the Counsel for the third respondent (NDC) was very tolerant during his cross examination. According to the NDC communicator, what took place in court on the Wednesday, May 22, 2013 was a dose of what the lawyer for the NDC had endured over a period of thirteen days. �This behavior tells everyone who has been following the sittings that Tsatsu Tsikata was very tolerant and lenient with the answers to his questions�� he explained. On his word, such display of annoyance by the petitioners counsel does not paint a good picture of a peaceful nation that wants to resolve this issue, and would therefore be in the �interest of the NPP to withdraw Lawyer Addison�. �He is doing the re-examination for only today (Wednesday) and look at the way he flared up. I think he should be relegated, because he didn�t show maturity at all. Lawyer Akoto Ampaw would be better,� he stressed on Asempa FM. This comment comes on the back of a decision by the President of the Judges presiding over the 2012 election petition, Justice Atuguba, disallowing counsel for the petitioners, Philip Addison, to go back and provide exhibit numbers to a list of polling stations before tendering it to the court. This resulted in an argument between the lead counsel for the petitioners, Philip Addison and the bench which went back and forth for a while.
