Sudan Have No Chance Of Qualifying - Asamoah Gyan

Asamoah Gyan believes Sudan have no chance of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup but are determined to crash Ghanas bid of a third successive qualification. The Black Stars will be facing Sudan in the first of a double-header in the qualifiers early next month. Ghana currently trail leaders Zambia in qualifying Group D by just a point and must beat Sudan and Lesotho in the away games to remain on track for a third successive World Cup qualification. But the Ghana captain believes Sudan are not interested in making their first World Cup finals but are only up to frustrate the Black Stars chances of qualifying to Brazil. Sudan are very strong at home and their fans will be coming, he said after Ghanas opening training session on Monday. They (Sudan) want to avenge (4-0 defeat to Ghana in Kumasi) because I dont think they have a chance to qualify (for the World Cup). But they would want to prove a point and that makes it very difficult. But with the quality in our team I believe we can go there and win. A draw is a risk and therefore we are going there to win. We only have to remain focused and ensure we do the job. The Black Stars will continue with their non-residential part of their preparations towards the two games in Accra until Thursday when they travel to Ethiopia to begin residential camping. Ghana will be playing Sudan in Khartoum on June 7 before traveling against to face Lesotho in Maseru a week after.
