Ten-year old Bright Kwame Afram who had a tumor on the face and was set to undergo surgery has died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. He died on Saturday while receiving treatment ahead of his surgery. According to the doctors, little Bright was suffering from Burkitts Lynphoma. The parents kept the boy at home for over a year because they could not raise money for the little boy to undergo the needed treatment. Through the effort of Sunyani-based radio station Ark FM an amount was raised with support also coming from a Ghanaian-based in the UK Mrs Ackon Mensah who paid GH3,000 after reading the pathetic story of the boy. He was buried on Tuesday at Yamfo in the Tano North District of the Brong Ahafo region.
