Ashanti Gold beat Liberty Professionals 2-0 in the 28th week Glo Premier League duel at the Obuasi Len Clay Sport Stadium on Wednesday. Ashgold, who dominated play scored the first goal in the 24th minute through Safiu Mumuni who connected home Latif Mohammed's cross. Liberty however made efforts to level up, but Ashgold defence and goalkeeper Robert Dabuo foiled their moves to end the first half. During the second half it was all Ashgold and it was no wonder Alhaji Sannie made it 2-0 when a shot at outside the penalty box beat goalkeeper Razak Issah in the 77th minute.
