Adwoa Safo told the fire victims that they can only look into the future with hope, urging them not to allow the calamity that has befallen to discourage them from fighting on in life to meet their respective destinies. The Member of Parliament said this when she personally made some cash donation and some items to about ten victims who were badly affected by the recent fire outbreak at the Dome Market in Ga East Municipality of Accra. The gesture was to lighten the burden of the affected traders Weeks ago, the Dome market which has been a subject of controversy over its reconstruction, was gutted down by fire, destroying properties worth over hundreds of thousands of Ghana Cedis. Several items belonging market sellers including their capital base were all destroyed in the process. Adwoa Safo who was on a working visit outside country had to cut short the visit, upon hearing the news, and on her return she hurriedly paid a visit to the scene of the disaster to ascertain for herself the impact of the fire disaster on the lives of the people. As a measure to resuscitate some of them who were deeply affected by the inferno, they were presented with some items which include student mattresses and some unspecified amount as a starter up for them to begin their businesses again.
