Ex-Marseille Boss: Andre Ayew Is Nowhere Near Abedi In Terms of Talent

The former Marseille capo has insisted that the Ghana international is not up to the talent of the Maestro. Former Olympique Marseille president Bernard Tapie has stated that Ghana international Andre Ayew is miles below his father's football talent and it will be a big mistake for anyone to compare the two. I do not know if Andre Ayew can compare himself to the talent his father had, not at all, Tapie told Marseille's official website. To me they are miles apart. Abedi was the most technically gifted player I had even before Enzo Francescoli, Dede is good but not to the level of Abedi. Obviously, his father is more gifted. Tapie, a businessman, was at the helm of affairs for Marseille from 1986 to 1994 and he helped them to win various titles, but in 1993 he was accused of match-fixing with Valenciennes which made the team suffer a force relegation to Ligue 2.
