Dont Dictate To Me - Volta Regional Minister Tells Chiefs

Volta Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo has declared that he will not take any dictation from any chief in the area on how to settle the Alavanyo - Nkonya impasse. The Chief of Alavanyo Traditional area in the Volta Region, Togbe Atakora Tsedze has warned of possible reprisal attacks if the police do not arrest the chief of Nkonya. However, speaking to Citi News, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo revealed that he has gathered enough report on the raging impasse and will act soon. I will not take words from any individual to act. I am not a soldier, police or security man by profession but my wisdom tells me that if we give orders to the two communities that whoever commits crimes on both sides will be dealt with, somebody from within can decide to commit a crime within so the other side can be held for whatever crime committed, he stated. Mr. Afotey Agbo further stated, We do not have to rush into making a move to arrest anybody. We will investigate the issue and find out what actually happened. The report that I have now is not in line with what whoever is saying we should arrest. It is not easy being a leader; it is a security matter but when the time comes, you will hear of it, he added.
