Akufo-Addo Flies To UK

The 2012 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday left Ghana with his wife, Rebecca, to the UK for �scheduled engagements including his regular medical check up�. A statement issued Wednesday by Mr. Herbert Krapa, Nana Addo�s Press Aide said, the NPP leader "will be away for a week". Nana Akufo-Addo is first petitioner challenging the results of the 2012 presidential elections in which the Electoral Commission declared the National Democratic Congress� candidate John Dramani Mahama winner. Other petitioners include vice presidential candidate; Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and National Chairman Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey. Nana Akufo-Addo rarely misses hearing of the historic case in Court. Hearing of the case enters Day 28 today, Wednesday June 5, 2013.
