AshGold CEO Furious Over Essipong Decision, Ready To Quit GFA's EC Post

AshGold CEO Kudjo Fianoo is ready to quit his post as Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association, according to the club's spokesperson Kofi Yawson. This follows the FA's decision to insist on the Essipong venue for their Ghana Premier League game against Kotoko. The Miners protested against the Premier League Board's decision to use the Essipong venue in Sekondi for their week 29 game against Kotoko sighting reasons of the venue being too far away from Obuase. However, the GFA rejected their protest and ordered them to travel for the game. According to Yawson, Fianoo could quit his Executive Committee position as a result. "I'm just coming from a meeting and our decision is the same, we wont go. Oluboi Commodore even called Fianoo about the issue but we still mantain our stance. Cudjoe Fianoo says he is prepared to surrender his Executive Committee position than to go and play that match," he is quoted as saying. The GFA's decision has angered the outspoken CEO who is ready to quit his role as a GFA Executive Committee member.
