Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister of Information and Media Relations, on Wednesday said government would collaborate with the Australian High Commission towards the development of Ghana.
�I am looking forward to my ministry and your office exploring possible areas of collaboration towards the development of the country,� he said.
Mr Ayariga said Australia has considerable expertise in mining and Ghana looks forward to the transfer of technology to the benefit of the country.
�In the area of mining, I am looking forward to a greater collaboration between the two countries,� he stressed, when the Australian High Commissioner, Madam Joanna Adamson paid a courtesy call on him in Accra on Wednesday.
Mr Ayariga said relations between Ghana and Australia had come a long way and expressed the hope that the ties would be strengthened.
�I am looking forward to the two countries working together in the dissemination of accurate information,� he said
Madam Adamson said relations between Australia and Ghana had existed for many years and looked forward to strengthening of the ties.
