FIDELITY Biz Academy Concludes With First Class Of SME Participants

The Fidelity Business Academy has concluded its inaugural session with the certification of the first class of participants of the IFC-accredited capacity building program for SMEs. Fidelity Bank strongly believes in supporting good quality small and medium enterprises and enabling them grow into the country�s next large corporate entities. The recently launched Business Academy has been established to build capacity for Fidelity Bank�s SME customers through formalised training, educational seminars, and networking events. Certificates were presented to the participants at the completion ceremony for the first in of participants. The Academy offers a workshop-based program for capacity building and knowledge sharing around, among others, proper business records, simple book keeping tools, cash flow management and marketing strategies. The courses are accredited by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and are being delivered in partnership with Rainbow Consultancy. Mrs. Linda Ampah of Cadling Fashions, and a participant in the workshop remarked: �It�s been a very useful program. I believe as SME�s, we will be looking to take on board the strategies we have been coached on, such as keeping of proper records, to help our businesses grow�. Joyce Mensah of Nana Joise Ventures intimated: �It�s been a wonderful program. As an entrepreneur, I have now appreciated the importance of separating myself from the business�.
