Gbevlo Lartey Must Explain How The Contract Was Given to Sohin Security

The apprehension of Sohin Security Service boss, Solomon Adelaquaye in the heroin trade according to Hopeson Adoryeh, a member of the communication team of NPP cannot be mentioned without the involvement of government officials and the National Security, because they have been operating at the airport for a long time with the Sohin Security Service operatives. He added that it is not true the National Security is now taking over the activities of the Sohin Security Service; in that the National Security and the BNI are aware of the operations of any additional security manning the car park of the airport. Making his point on Okay FM, he said that the National Security cannot be exempted from this drug trade; in that a similar incident happened at the Heathrow Airport and the package of the drugs had Ghana Free-zone stickers on them. In view of the Heathrow Airport cocaine saga, the National Security Coordinator, Gbevlo Lartey explained that the officers at the Kotoka International Airport were newly trained and so they had little experience to track the drug dealers at the airport. He further said that the activities of Solomon Adelaquaye in this drug trade explains why the ruling National Democratic Congress was able to build their $20m ultra-modern headquarters; alleging that the NDC headquarters was built with cocaine money. According to him the money which will be given to Solomon Adelaquaye would have been shared among his cronies; adding that the report from the Southern District of New York has stated that out of the 3,000 packages which were sent to USA, a package was worth $28,000. He therefore said that the National Security and BNI are aware of any money which is paid into any account; in that it is the duty of the National Security and BNI to investigate any business and the kind of money which that business accumulate into an account. He however said that the process with which the contract was awarded to Solomon Adelaquaye so far as the security of the Kotoka International Airport is concerned must be explained by the National Ssecurity Coordinator, Lt. Col (Rtd) Larry Gbevlo Lartey.
