Respondents Have Made Our Case Difficult Addison Confesses

The Supreme Court judges on Wednesday, 12 June, 2013, made a quick intervention to avert the bad spectacle which was bound to be streamed live on television if they had allowed lead counsel for both parties in the ongoing trail continue to debate over pink sheets. During the cross examination of Dr. Afari Gyan by Lawyer Philip Addison, counsel for the second respondent shot to feet to object to a pink sheet which was handed over to his client for questioning. The exhibit they have given me is 000088 MBJ; name of code is Ada Memorial School, code C121001B. What we have is G275301as the polling station code. Now if your lordships look at paragraph 50 of the affidavit of Mr. Bawumia, it just has MBJ 1 and then MBJ 195. That is where it ends, he said He claimed that they have looked through their records and found out that they do not have the pink sheet handed over to Dr. Afari Gyan. He noted that examining the pink sheet they have, if they are to attach the code given by the petitioners to it, it would lead them to an entire different polling station. Next to buttress Lawyer Iduns objection was counsel for the first respondent, Tony Lithur. He stressed that from what they (1st respondent) have received, if they are to punch the polling station code on the exhibit number, they can confidently state that they havent received the pink sheet in contention. Counsel for the third respondent also added that they have not been served with such an exhibit and he wants to emphasize that in the affidavit of the second petitioner, Dr. Bawumia, there is no exhibit number of the kind that is being proposed. But an unenthused Addison told the court that inasmuch as zeros have appeared wrongfully on some pink sheets, they believe it wouldnot have any radical effect on the exhibit. Lawyer Addison maintained that it has become extremely difficult for them (petitioners) to conduct their case, since they currently dont know what the respondent have been served with. He fumed that as it is now, any pink sheet that we produce, all they have to say is that we dont have it and then we are stopped. That is unfair.
