Addison Must Control His Emotions Kweku Baako

Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako Jnr., says the Lead Counsel for the Petitioners in the ongoing election results challenge, Mr. Philip Addison must try and control his emotions in Court. Kweku Baakos comment was in reaction to Mr. Addisons intermittently boisterous chat-backs in Court anytime he got entangled in an argument with either the Bar or the bench. The latest such behaviour from Mr. Addison was on Wednesday June 12, 2013 when he exploded in open Court and refused to hand over a document to Electoral Commission Chairman Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, for comparative scrutiny, during cross-examination. He thundered: I dont trust them one bitthe document can be in the custody of the Court, I will not let them take this document away. Mr. Addison flared up in a fit of anger saying: I do not think that I will leave it with these Witnesses, they have been so untruthful throughout this proceedings, I dont trust them one bit. His outburst and subsequent blurts attracted harsh criticism from the Bench, resulting in one of the nine Justices hearing the case, Mr. Baffoe- Bonnie, shutting him up in hyper tone by asking him to please listen to me. When Im talking you have to keep quiet. There were similar reprimands from other members of the Bench as well as its President Justice William Atuguba, who cleaned the slates for the last time and warned tersely, that the Court will deal sternly with future misconducts on the part of any member of the bar. Speaking on Joy FMs News Analysis Programme News File on Saturday June 15, Kweku Baako Jnr. said: I think that Addison must try and control his emotions. Hes human but he must try.
