I Want To Be Served By Akufo Addo - Justice Kpegah

Former Supreme Court Judge, Francis Yaonansu Kpegah is avoiding service of court process sought to be served on him by bailiffs of the High Court in respect of a fresh suit he has filed against Nana Akufo-Addo. Kpegah refused service on him of the Notice of Entry of Appearance filed by lawyers of Akufo Addo and instead told the bailiff that he wants Akufo-Addo to come and serve him. That compelled the bailiff to throw the entry of appearance at Kpegah as is allowed by the rules of the High Court. The second instance of Kpegah swerving services of Akufo Addo court processes on him was when bailiffs sought to serve him with an application at the instance of Akufo-Addo to dismiss his suit against Akufo-Addo. After repeated visits to his residence which is a government bungalow he defiantly continues to occupy inspite of his having left the Judicial Service years ago, the bailiff was left with no option than to file an affidavit on non service at the High Court to the effect Kpegah had gone to his home town, Hohoe. Akufo Addos lawyers, displeased with the unavailability of Kpegah for service of court processes are seriously considering applying for orders to serve Kpegah by substitution. Kpegahs current suit against Akufo Addo follows the earlier dismissal of an earlier action. He seeks to challenge Akufo Addos qualification as a lawyer. Earlier this year, the High court presided over by Mrs. Justice Cecilia Hanzy-Sowah, a Justice of the Court of Appeal sitting as an additional Justice of the High Court dismissed a similar suit instituted by Kpegah against Akufo Addo.
