UK's 3000 Pounds Visa Bond Was Approved By Mahama

A member of the Young Patriots, Hopeson Adorye has accused President John Dramani Mahama of endorsing the 3000 pound issued by the Home Secretary of U.K, Theresa May. He claimed the president did this when he traveled to the United Kingdom last week under the pretence of attending the G8 Summit which indeed started after he the president had left the country to Ghana. Speaking to Hello Fm's King Edward on Tuesday morning, he alleged that President John Mahama was the first president among the countries affected to append his signature to the decision before other presidents who were reluctant to do so did. "I can tell you that Presidents from these affected countries made this recommendation and President John Mahama was the team leader," he added. "How does he expect students from KNUST,legon and other universities who during long vacations travel to the U.K to work to enable them pay for their fees and other needs survive this time round?...If they had 3000 pounds in these economic hard times of president John Mahama's administration, I do not think Ghanaians will want to travel to the Queen's land," Hopeson noted. A report from the U.K Home Secretary's office says visitors from Asian and African nations will have to pay 3000 pounds cash bond deposit to enter Britain and Ghana is among other countries who have been affected by 3000 pound cash bond deposit for a UK visa. Other countries affected include Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka
