Tagoe fights Robbles on August 8

Emmanuel �Game Boy� Tagoe, International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Super Featherweight Champion will on August 9, 2013, take on Geraldo Robbles of the United States of America (USA) for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) Inter-Continental Super Featherweight title in United States of America. The bout originally fixed for June 29, had to be rescheduled to enable the promoters process the necessary documents for the Ghanaian boxer who also holds World Boxing Association (WBA) International Lightweight title. According to the organizers; Nelson Promotion and Gary Shaw Productions, the fight which will be held at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in California, will be the 22nd fight for Tagoe, who is seriously gunning for a world title. Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates after initial change of schedules, the organisers are certain on the new development and waiting on the Ghanaian to arrive in USA for the fight. Tagoe, told the GNA Sports that, he is poised to make a greater impact on the world stage and looking forward to the fight. The tough talking Ghanaian boxer said he will use the fight as a platform to seek bigger challenges in future. Tagoe�s last fight at the Accra Sports Stadium with Robald Pontilas was shrouded in controversy, after several unpopular decisions by referee Roger Barnor.
