Sulley Muntari Will Be Disciplined For Throwing A Strop At Kwesi Appiah

Sulley Muntari will face disciplinary action for throwing a strop and angrily confronting Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah for substituting him in a match, Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed. The AC Milan ace has still not apologised to the coach and his team-mates in the wake of his public attack on the coach. Muntari angrily stormed into the dressing room with some tantrums when he was substituted in the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho in Maseru. The midfielder himself confirmed that he confronted the coach after he was substituted during the match, drawing wide condemnation for the AC Milan from the Ghanaian public and fans. Nyantakyi says Muntari will be disciplined according the code of conduct signed by all players of the Black Stars. Sanctions will be applied on Sulley according to the code of conduct of the Black Stars, Nyantakyi told Montie FM. Muntari is the latest player to be punished for throwing a strop at the local coach when he was substituted. Andre Ayew was forced to apologise to the coach when he pulled a strop during their Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi last year. Ayew refused to apologise to the coach privately before he was issued with a public seven-day ultimatum.
