In the wake of intense political instability in Egypt, Ghana�s Ambassador to that country H.E Alhaji Said Sinare has called on Ghanaians and other nationals with the intention of visiting Cairo around this period to �hold on� till the unrest was over. According to Ambassador Sinare, both Ghanaians and other Nationals in Egypt are insulated from any trouble and had asked them not to come out from their closets (houses). "The situation is intense and bad for the Northern African country, I have asked the Ghanaians and other nationals to be in their houses till the confusion recedes," Sinare said. Egypt�s army has detained ousted president Mohammed Morsi after suspending the constitution and promising a roadmap for new elections while members of Morsi�s Muslim Brotherhood were being rounded up. The Egyptian Military said on Wednesday that it had ousted President Mohammed Morsi and suspended the country�s constitution. Armored cars, tanks and troops deployed in the capital in what advisers to the president described as a coup. H.E Alhaji Said Sinare indicated that the Ghana Embassy in Cairo is in constant touch with Ghanaian nationals to ensure their safety and protection from the ongoing revolution. Meanwhile, it is feared the pro Morsi loyalist are planning to launch an attack on the military and to further exacerbate the already precarious situation. The West is also calling for fresh elections to be held in Egypt to ensure that the country returned to normalcy.
