Tema based music duo, R2Bees are set to grace an event dubbed BET Awards Celebration Party with R2Bees and Criss Waddle in New York, United States of America on Saturday July 27. This year has been a good year for the HipLife duo; R2Bees which is made up of Faisal Hakeem (Paedae da Pralem) and Rashid Mugeez (Mugeez). Without mincing words, it is a year described as the year for the duo at the fourteen editions of the Ghana Music Awards in which they picked 6 awards including Highlife Song of the Year, Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year and Hiplife Song of the Year with, Hiplife/Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Best Group of the Year and the overall Artist of the Year Award. After winning almost all the awards at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with �Odo� and �Life (Walaahi)� on their Revolution II album, the duo annexed a Black Entertainment Television (BET) nomination in the Best International Act: Africa category, which they eventually lost out to Nigeria�s Ice Prince. R2Bees is headlining the Celebration Party In New York with their pal Criss Waddle of �Ayi� fame. His �Ayi� song has been favourite of many ever since it was released. This is an opportunity to give their fans and followers in America a face-to-face opportunity to mingle and party with them. Akwaada, 2Shy and Lighter would be supporting their pals as they get closer to their fans outside the African continent.
