KMA Warns Recalcitrant Drivers

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has cautioned commercial drivers to stop parking and loading at unauthorized places, especially in the Central Business District (CBD). It said, in as much as the Assembly was prepared to promote the growth of businesses in the Metropolis, it would not allow drivers to take the law into their hands. A statement signed by Mr Godwin Okumah Nyame, Public Relations Officer of the Assembly, noted that the activities of the drivers, were impeding free human and vehicular flow in the city. It said drivers continued to pick and off-load passengers at unapproved places despite several warnings to stop doing that. The KMA said, would no longer tolerate that and would tow all vehicles wrongly parked.
