Black Satellite Players Disappointed�Promise To Win Bronze For Ghana

Players of Ghana Under-20 squad the Black Satellites have expressed worry for their inability to reach the finals of the ongoing FIFA Under-20 World Cup tournament staged in Turkey. According to them, despite not booking a place in the finals, they have promised to put up a brilliant performance to win the bronze medal against Iraq. Speaking to some Journalists after Wednesdays 2-1 defeat against France, defender Abdul Rahman Baba expressed disappointment for losing to France for the second time in the tournament. �We Thank God for everything, I will say our defeat was due to hard luck on our side. We are very disappointed because after losing the opening game against France, our aim was to win the semi-final game and progress to the finals. Things did not go well but we thank God,� he said. Satellites number one goalie, Eric Antwi who was substituted due to first half injury said �I was really hurt by their (France) striker (Florian Thauvin). I wanted to be in the post but was feeling the pains so I was substituted, but unfortunately we did not win the game. We are hoping to correct our mistakes and go in for the bronze�. Captain Michael Anaba who led Ghana to the 2-1 defeat against France said, though the team is down, they are very optimistic of wining the bronze medal against Iraq. �In the game of football, anything can happen; God knows what is best for the team so where we have gotten is the best for us,� he said. Ghana will meet Iraq in the third-place match at the FIFA U-20 World Cup after either side lost in the semi-final of the competition on Wednesday. This will be the first ever meeting between Ghana and the Asian side at a FIFA competition.
