An inmate of the Sogakope Police Cells has committed suicide using a blanket.
The police officers in charge of the station, according to Radio XYZ news have conveyed the body to the morgue, much to the dissatisfaction of the family members of the deceased.
According to the divisional commander for the area, Chief Supt. Oscar Amevienku, the deceased was a convicted criminal who had been sentenced to two years in prison.
Supt. Amevienku added that the deceased committed the suicide after it was revealed that he was involved in a robbery at the Kpevi Senior High School where some laptops were stolen and was likely to be tried for that crime.
The deceased Kofi Sekpe, hanged himself at the cells bathroom before his scheduled transfer to the Ho prisons.
