Kotoko Confirm Kwabena Edusei's South African Trials

Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko have confirmed defender Kwabena Edusei is undergoing trials with South African Premier Soccer League side Bidvest Wits. The Kumasi-based giants are set to lose key players to foreign clubs before the closure of the transfer window and the defender who joined the Porcupine Warriors from Medeama before the start of last season is set to leave. Edusei, who can play at either sides of the defence arrived in Johannesburg and quickly moved to Braamfontein where the club is based to begin trials. Kotoko have denied they will allow as many as nine key players to leave for greener pastures abroad but club official Nana Kwame confirmed to Accra-based Happy FM the defender is training with the South Africans. So far its only Kwabena Edusei who is out of the country now and is in South Africa with Bidvest Wits undergoing trials, he said. Kotoko have already lost defender Rashid Sumaila who played as a loanee from Ebusua Dwarfs to Mamelodi Sundowns.
