Medeama took their FA Cup title to the operation site of their headline sponsors; Goldfields on Wednesday. The Mauves secured their first ever title after beating Asante Kotoko 1-0 to win this year�s FA Cup competition. A Theophilus Anorbah strike on the stroke of halftime was all the Tarkwa-based side needed to atone for the Premier League disappointment. The club with some of its players and officials toured the operation site of their headline sponsors to officially present them with their newly won crown. Workers on the operation site of Godlfields took turns to take pictures with the trophy while hailing the achievment of their sponsored club. The team will be embarking on its debut campaign in Africa as Ghana�s sole representative in the next edition of the Confederations Cup. Aside winning the GHC 30,000 (almost $15,000) cash prize for their FA Cup triumph, Medeama will receive an addition cash support of GHC 25,000 (a little over $12,000) to aid their maiden campaign in Africa.
