Swansea City Boss Rubbishes Reports of Move For Mubarak Wakaso

Swansea City boss Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has rubbished reports that he is on the verge of signing Ghana star Mubarak Wakaso. The Espanyol midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Welsh side to play in the English Premier League. Reports in the Spanish media this week claimed that the English Premier League have been in intense negotiations with Espanyol over a move for the Ghanaian. Sources close to the player also told GHANAsoccernet.com this that talks are advanced to Swansea to grab the player before the start of the season. But Laudrup has dismissed talk of a move for Espanyols Ghana midfielder Wakaso Mubarak. But every day I read we are going for this player or that player, a Dutch player and then Ghanaian player, Michael Laudrup told the BBC. If I signed half of the players we have been linked to I would have 35 players here. I have also spent a certain amount of money, so it wont be a big signing but for me it doesnt matter. If its a big player on loan from a big club its about the quality. Laudrup had made strengthening his forward options a priority in order to ease the burden on last seasons top scorer Michu. To that end, Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony has been acquired from Vitesse Arnhem for a club-record 12million fee. Jonjo Shelvey, Alejandro Pozuelo, Jordi Amat, Jose Canas, Jernade Meade, Jonathan de Guzman, Gregor Zabret and Alex Gogic have also arrived at the Liberty Stadium this summer.
