Parliament Eulogises Late President Mills

Parliament yesterday, paid glowing tribute to the memory of late President Professor John Evans Atta Mills. The MPs from both sides of the House eulogised the man and described him as humble, honest, peace loving and unifier who dedicated himself to the course of the nation. The MP for North Tongu and Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah, set the tone for the tribute on the floor of the House when he made a statement to commemorate the first anniversary of passing of Professor Mills. The House decided to pay the tribute a week to the start of the scheduled one year anniversary. This is because Parliament will not sit during the period of the commemoration.
