Nkroful SHS appeals to Alumni to assist

Madam Esther Armah-Viddah, Headmistress of the Nkroful Agricultural Senior High School(NASS) has urged the alumni to rise to the occasion and support their alma mater as it celebrates its 40th anniversary and speech and prize-giving day next week. According to her, although the school has come of age and churned out a number of products serving in various capacities in the economy, it was still faced with some teething problems. Madam Armah-Viddah disclosed this in a telephone chat with the Ghana News Agency at Nkroful in the Ellembelle district of the Western Region. She disclosed that the school was in dire need of books on various disciplines to stock the Natasha library and also stressed the need to provide more computers for the ICT library. The school is also in need of an ultra-modern water closet toilet facility to replace the aqua privy one, which had not been efficient. She paid glowing tribute to the Minister of Energy and MP for Ellembelle, Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah and the District Chief Execitive, Mr. Daniel K. Eshun, both old students for their assistance to the school so far. Madam Armah-Viddah however did not mince words and remarked that "the old students had not done much to propel the development of the school" and advised them to contribute towards their alma mater. The school was established in 1972 as the Nyaneba Middle Boarding School, after the mother of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and later changed to the Nkroful Agricultural Secondary School(NASS) with Agricultural Science as its main focus.
