I�m not dead, I am alive,� this was the response of Nollywood mother Bukky Ajayi, the popular crossover actress, who was rumored dead few days ago. In the early hours of Monday July 29, rumour mongers went to town with unconfirmed report that Bukky Ajayi was dead. Everyone in Nollywood was thrown into perpetual mourning until the actress came crying out that she was hale and hearty. Over 12 people have called her asking if she was alive but was shocked to know that some people are actually insinuating death for her at this early stage of life. The veteran actress said she didn�t take the matter seriously until she received calls from her daughter and husband. �I�m hale and hearty, and nothing is wrong with me,� Mama, as the actress is fondly called, said. Though the actress was critically ill for awhile, she has since recovered from her age-related illness. The ex-village headmaster star has retired from acting but she still occasionally features in musical videos on invitation.
