NDC Suicide Mission Continues Hounding Of Ministers Begins-Seth Terkper Is First Target

The apparent suicide mission being embarked upon by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is assuming a dangerous dimension. First, it was some peeved party persons, who were expecting ,ministerial positions, tele-guiding a crusade for the rejection of persons nominated by the President for positions as metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives (MMDCEs). The disgruntled persons have nearly succeeded with creating pockets of violence in certain parts of the country which the security agents are currently betting with. Now the same destructive moves are being extended to ministers appointed by the President to help him deliver to the good people of Ghana. Interestingly, the first target of the marauding NDC gang is no other person than the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Mr. Seth Terkper. The Enquirer can emphatically state that the diabolical operation against the otherwise hardworking finance minister was hatched some months ago, but the orchestrators could not find the means of pushing it. A not-too-much-of-a-weight group, the Media Analysts Group (MAG), in a statement, is calling for the removal of Mr. Terkper. According to the group with little or no recognition in the NDC, it has come to the conclusion that the current Finance Minister, Mr. Seth Terkper, is performing abysmally with regard to the management of the national economy and the sooner he is removed from that important position the better it would be for the people of Ghana and for our great party the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The groups position is very shocking, because Mr. Terkper, as a minister, does not implement his personal polices at the ministry, but those of the government as a whole. It is instructive to know that it was through the hard work of Mr. Terkper that the Eurobond, which the government came up with, was oversubscribed. A cursory look at the reasons why the messy group wants Mr. Terkper out indicates that they did things haphazardly before coming out with their statement or that they were seeking to gain some attention. The Enquirers several weeks of probe at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning revealed that the minister was always meticulous as against other officials personal agenda. The Enquirers Intelligence has it that Mr. Terkper is the type who would always insist that things should be done right. The groups laughable reasons for the removal of the minister included the recent collective decisions by the government to widen the tax net, as well as introducing new taxes. Shockingly, the Media Analyst Group wants the world at large to believe that those decisions were Mr. Terkpers personal decisions.
