A press conference was held at Alisa Hotel to brief the media about the upcoming launch of this year's Radio and Television Awards. At the press conference of the 3rd edition of the awards, the organizers promised a better awards scheme this year. Prince McKay, CEO of Big Events Ghana, organizers of the Radio and Television Personality Awards revealed to the media that, the award aims at highlighting outstanding media personalities whose work have shown exemplary leadership towards building a formidable and a responsible media for Ghana. He added that, this year's awards will not be only centered in Accra and Kumasi, but rather throughout the 10 regions of Ghana. The organizers promised to officially announce the actual day of the award and the actual date of the launch to the media before the end of the month- August. Talking about one of the biggest impacts and significance of the RTP awards, Mackay said current Adom FM's morning show host Captain Smart may have been recognized and employed by Multimedia Groups Limited because he was awarded in last year's RTP Awards. He urged radio and television presenters in the country to access nomination forms from their various media houses while media personnel outside the Ghana but active participant in the Ghanaian media can obtain online nomination forms at www.rtpawards.com to nominate presenters of their choice. �The criteria for winners, nominees of the different categories and the event date will be communicated at the launched in the coming weeks,� he said.
