France-based John Boye will miss French league opener after being left out of Rennes� squad to face Reims on Saturday. The Ghana international will miss his club�s opening match of the season because of injury. He was not part of the 18 players selected to play in the home game. The central defender suffered a thigh strain while in action for Stade Rennes in a friendly last week. The 26-year-old is expected to be out for an estimated two-week period � effectively ruling him out of Ghana�s friendly against Turkey in Istanbul on August 14.
