God Will Not Do For Man What Man Can Do For Himself

Peace Advocates in the country has been asked to include Justice in their message.

James Kwabena Bonfeh, popularly known as Kabila, a former National Youth Organiser of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) is of the view that peace is just a by-product and without justice, there will be no peace.

He made this statement in relation to the numerous peace messages that has poured in as the Supreme Court readies to give a final verdict to the on-going election petition.

The National Peace Council, Pastors and other groups have called for peace towards the end of the election petition. Seminars have been held and prayers made but Kabila has told Kwami Sefa-Kayi that God is a God of Peace and Justice; hence the peace advocates cannot preach peace, relegating justice to the background.

That if something is so glaring, we should ignore itGod will not do for man what man can do for himself. He is a God of Justice and He has given us the power to do all things and so those praying and calling for peace; there is something that is missing which is called justice. Peace is just a by-product. It is a result of a certain action he intimated.

Former National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Anthony Abayefa Karbo has also made similar assertions. According to him, "the petitioners did not go to court to plead peace; we went to the Supreme Court because it is a court of justice not a court of peace or benevolence.

Agreeing with Karbos assertion, Kabilla alluded: They went there for justice because that is where justice is served and so I will not accept that statement that we should forget about justice and what is on the face of the law and look for other interests.
