It has to be said, that in the process of commenting on the matter, some for obvious political reasons have not hidden their blatant dislike and hatred for the AGAMS Group of Companies which came under investigations upon allegations of corruption by Joy FM�s Manasseh Azure, by deliberately making their own version to incite the public against this reputable group. The latest in this evil and diabolic agenda is NPP darling boy and Former Editor of the New Statesman newspaper Gabby Asare Otchere Darko. Gabby, has for some time now sought to use his privileged status as a regular panelist on Joy FMs flagship current affairs program Newsfile and the Statesman Newspaper which he largely controls to make unsavory remarks and also run stories aimed at tarnishing the hard won reputation of the AGAMS Group and its Chairman Mr. Agambire. Indeed so strong is his passion to incite the general public and also undo what the company has achieved over the years that companies which have no ties with the AGAMS Group are desperately linked with the group in pursuit of earning some cheap political points. On Joy FM�s current affairs program, Newsfile, last Saturday, Mr. Gabby Otchere Darko made a categorical statement that Chairman of the National Development and Planning Commission, Mr. P.V. who has been tasked by the President Mahama to review the official report of the Ministerial Impact Assessment Committee is a Board Member of Keta Salt Industrial Estates, which he boldly claimed is a subsidiary of the AGAMS Group of Companies, thus wondered why Mr. P.V. Obeng, took up the responsibility of review when according to him, it constituted some conflict of interest. Whiles this claim has been proven to be a palpable lie, the failure of Otchere Darko to retract and formally apologize only feeds into allegations of some evil plot within some sections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to see to the demise of the AGAMS Group, a wholly owned Ghanaian enterprise, which has been built from scratch to its current level. For anyone who knows Gabby Asare-Otchere Darko, this latest recalcitrant posturing should be least surprising. For a viable project such as provision of portable water for mostly rural folks, Gabby failed to take the poor into consideration, by using his New Statesman, to openly kick against the project, not on the basis of viability but on the basis that it was being funded by the AGAMS Group. This is the extent to which he is prepared to do his politics. Unfortunately for him Ghanaians are discerning enough to read in between the lines and will therefore not fall for his cheap politics.
