Christians Urged To Pray For Judges

The newly inducted Archdeacon of the Akyem Oda Archdeaconry of the Anglican Church, Venerable Felix Odei Ananncy, has called on Christians to offer continuous prayers for the Supreme Court Judges sitting on the election petition. He said God should give the judges strength and courage to deliver judgment that would unite the country and ensure the progress and development of Ghana. Venerable Ananncy, who was preaching his first sermon after the induction on Sunday, urged Christians to serve God through service to mankind. He also urged those, who had been blessed by God, to share the grace that they had received from Him (God) with others. He called on the leadership of the Church to meet and come out with standards to guide the members. Rt. Rev. Francis Benjamin Quashie, Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, who inducted Venerable Ananncy into office, advised the youth not to allow themselves to be deceived by any politician to engage in violence after the August 29 judgment on the election petition. Why should you die for somebody, who you would never have the opportunity to meet personally in your life and at best you will only see him on television, he said.
