President Nominates 29 MMDCES

President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 29 more metropolitan, municipal and district chief Executives (MMDCEs). The nominations are in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993 (Act 462) The nominees include Mr James A. K. Baidoe for Nzema East; Mr Issahaku Nuhu, Wa Municipal; Madam Vivien Nelly Kunko Banongkore, Jirapa; Mr Bom Kofi Dy-Yaka, Lambussie Karni; and Mr Peter Kofi Aduteye for Ada East. A statement from the Flagstaff House Communications Bureau named the others as Mr Sam Atukwei Quaye as the nominee for the Ga West; Ms Priscilla Arhin for Cape Coast; Ms Emelia Ankomah, Upper Denkyira; Mr Thomas Ampem Nyarko, Asuogyaman; Dr. Kwaku Owusu Acheampong, New Juaben; Ms Dora Ama Tamea, Jaman South; Mr Michael Justice Baffoe, Kintampo North; Mr Alex Ayamdor Adugdaa, Bongo District; Mr Amadu I. W. Karimu, Bawku Municipal; Dr. Stanislaus Alu Akandingdi, Kassena-Nankana East, and Mr George Nonterah, Kassena-Nankena West The next set of the nominees comprises Madam Afiuc Elizabeth Jane for Builsa South; Mr Stephen Yeboah for Atwima Mponua; Mr Emmanuel Dede Appiah, Amansie Central; Mr Kwabena Nkrumah, Atwima Kwanwoma; Madam Mary Juantoah, Bekwai Municipal; Hannan G. Y. Abdul-Rahaman, Tamale Metro; Mr Issifu Alidu Laa-Bandow, Zabzugu; Mr Mumuni Shiraz Ibn Yacin, Central Gonja; Mr Killian Abrampah Kwame, Jasikan; and Madam Mary Ama Theodora Agbenyenu, Central Tongu. The rest are Mr Peter Kenyenso, Nkwanta South; Mrs. Fafa Adinyira, Ho Municipal; and Madam Paulina Delali Adinyirah, Kpando Municipal.
