The Agona Swedru Divisional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nana Asomah Hinneh, has said the police would deal firmly with anybody who would foment trouble after the Supreme Court verdict on the Election 2012 petition. ACP Asomah Hinneh said the police would not treat anybody who would be arrested as political a activist but deal with him or her as an individual citizen who has flouted the laws of the land. Nana Asomah Hinneh gave the warning when he addressed officers and men of the security services after three hours peace walk through principal streets of Agona Swedru. About 200 men and women from Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Prison Service and Immigration Service in the Agona West Municipality took part in the peace walk. Mr Isaac Kingsley Ehunu-Armah, Gomoa East District Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Oppong, Agona West Municipal Chief executive (MCE) also participated. Executives and supporters of NDC and NPP in the Agona West also took part. ACP Asomah Hinneh appealed to NDC and NPP to accept the Supreme Court verdict to enhance socio-economic development of the country. Mr Ehunu-Armah appealed to supporters of NDC and NPP to accept the verdict on Thursday to enable the country to continue to develop.
