TUC Calls On Workers To Remain Calm Ahead Of Judgement Day

As the Supreme Court verdict on the election petition draws near, the TUC is calling on all workers and their families to remain calm and to go about their duties diligently. A statement signed by its Secretary General, Kofi Asamoah said workers must avoid provocation and any wild jubilation aimed at taunting political opponents. It said Ghanaians have chosen the path of democracy and the rule of law and once again their faith will be tested. The TUC is hopeful that Ghana will scale over the hurdle and is therefore calling on all political party leaders, the media and the security forces to rise to the occasion and ensure that the peace the country is enjoying is sustained.
