Kwarasey In Fitness Race For Zambia Game

Goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey is racing against time to be fit for Fridays 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Kumasi. The 25-year old, who plays for Norwegian side Stromsgodset took no part in the Stars training session on Tuesday morning at the Accra Sports Stadium due to an injury. Head coach Kwasi Appiah told GNA Sports that the player is being observed by the medical team after sustaining a knock during last Sundays Norwegian Eliteserien clash against Viking. Though the midfielder lasted the whole duration of the encounter, the knock appears far from gone. Appiah said he could only confirm the goalies availability after the report by the medical team. Meanwhile, the two other shot-stoppers Fatau Dauda and Razak Braimah have been consistent at the Stars training since last Monday. Dauda has served as first-choice since the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa earlier in the year.
