"Soul To Soul" Brings K.K. Fosu

The award winning +233 Jazz Bar and Grill has over the last 3 years changed the entertainment terrain for the mature and discerning consumer, bringing back live music as the preferred means to deliver music, six days a week. The insistence on Keeping music LIVE as their tagline expresses has given a new lease of life to musicians in Ghana and commendations are apt for the effort. This year Plus 233 has quickly gained its place on the Ghanaian map for staging extraordinary events and is constantly making waves internationally. The Jazz bar was last Wednesday, the proud host of Bono of U2 fame, one of the world's best-known philanthropic performers, who treated patrons to a stint on stage, bringing the venue to a frenzy. Many other local and international acts have performed to amazing standards with a commensurate audience response, breathing a much needed burst of energy to the art. Plus 233 is host to Soul to Soul, the most talked about old school event this year, which has sealed the First Friday of every month as a special night of entertainment in the Capital. Soul to Soul is an Old School Music jam played live on an outdoor stage with interspersed Dj performances and also showcases our accomplished music artistes performing their great hits from the past. Friday the 6th of September will be no different as the crme of the capital converges at Plus 233 for a night of retro fun with the promise of the best bands, artistes and Djs in the country. Last months edition was an experience to behold as the audience witnessed what will remain etched in their minds as a night of sheer fun and exhilaration. The jam was led by the Patch Bay Band with Djs Paa Kwesi And Joe all delivering top drawer content witnessed live on Citi 97.3 FM and around the world on www.citifmonline.com Highlife artiste K.K Fosu turned out to be the surprise guest artiste of the night and what a performance he rendered! His lyrics and movement with compelling beats from the band provided the highlife moment right on cue to draw in an interactive audience. Anadwo ye de, Obaapa and No. 1 were big hits with the audience as well as a performance of Ofori Amponsahs Bonwire amongst others. Nothing makes us happier than to promise a surprise and watch it unfold into a great success, Abena Effah-Habia of Karl Aubyn Events exclaimed. September 6th sees the debut of the Shabo Crew at Soul to Soul and this has to be one not to miss. Led by Dan Grahl, the Shabo band has reigned supreme in delivery of Old School performances for a number of years. Soul to Soul has however unearthed a range of talent that has surpassed all expectations, blowing open the terrain for quality performances and opening up a platform to all talented musicians. SOUL TO SOUL will as usual, feature a surprise guest artiste to kick off the local segment of the event. This edition welcomes a seasoned Ghanaian class act who has had multiple tracks dominating the airwaves in the last two decades. Organisers assure us he is certain to get the audience on their feet, however in keeping with the tradition, they remain tight lipped on his identity. Soul to Soul is a Karl Aubyn initiative hosted by +233 and supported by Citi Fm. The September edition is proudly sponsored by the Ghana Free Zones Board. The event is staged First Friday of every month from 8pm at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill opposite GBC on the Ring Road Central.
