Accident Claims Four Lives, Injures Nine

Four people have been killed and nine injured when the car they were traveling in collided with an articulated truck on the Buepe-Tamale Road in the Northern Region. The Urvan Car with registration number AW 7344-12 was travelling from Kumasi to Tamale in the early hours of Tuesday. The deceased including the driver, has not yet been identified. The other passengers who were injured have been admitted at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. Speaking to Kwabena Ntow, Peace FM reporter, in an interview, Mr Atta Boateng, one of the survivors said the driver was driving on top speed and overtaking unnecessarily. ��because he was overtaking and speeding at the same time, he lost control and collided with the truck. Our car somersaulted so many times and by the time it landed finally, I was the only one left; the rest were thrown out as the car rolled� he said. Meanwhile, the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of Kintampo and Tamale Hospital.
