Russian Chief Justice To Be Airlifted To Moscow Today

The Russian Chief Justice who was involved in an accident in the Volta Region on Monday will be airlifted to Moscow on Tuesday to continue receiving medical care. Justice Viacheslav Mikhailovic Lebedev got severely injured in a motor accident at Kpetomi Junction, near Tsito in the Volta Region when a tipper truck suddenly veered into the lane in which his convoy was travelling. He was one of the guest speakers at an annual Ghana Bar Association (GBA) conference and was returning to Accra when the accident occurred. Justice Lebedev is said to be in a critical but stable condition. Deputy Information Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu said government is waiting for the air ambulance that will airlift the him to Moscow. �Arrangements have been made with the Russian authorities for an air ambulance to arrive from Russia to be airlifted to Moscow for further treatment and we are currently waiting for the arrival of the ambulance,� said the Deputy Minister.
