President Mahama Challenges State Institutions To Live Up To Expectations

President John Dramani Mahama has challenged state institutions to live up to expectations when put to the test. This is because they have come of age and must therefore exert their authority without fear or favour, but according to the statutes that set them up. President Mahama threw the challenge when members and Council of Elders of Old Commonwealth Hall students of the University of Ghana, called to congratulate and offer him support and co-operation at the Flagstaff House in Accra. President Mahama said the 2012 presidential election petition was a novelty and a test for the judiciary, which the Supreme Court surmounted successfully.
