The Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC) on Wednesday announced a near 79 per cent increase in electricity tariffs to enable providers to recover cost and to improve capital investment.
Water tariffs have also gone up by 52 per cent, Mr Samuel Sarpong, Executive Secretary of the PURC announced at a media conference.
This is a major adjustment since June 2010.
