�The corruption in Ghana is like a General Mosquito, thus, when it enters your room, it will bite, infect and probably kill. That is what corruption is doing to the development and economy of Ghana now under the Mahama-led administration. We must kill it now!!!� Thousands of supporters of the Progressive People�s Party (PPP) and other groups took to some principal streets of Accra to protest against what they believed is the growing number of corrupt acts in the country. Chanting they cannot trust the Mahama-led administration to fight graft, the demonstrators, clad in red, held placards some of which read �Corrupt government must stop, Sack corrupt ministers in government, Abuse of power is too much, and Kill corruption, not Ghanaians!� Speaking to Peacefmonline, the National Youth Coordinator of the PPP, Divine Nkrumah described corruption in the Mahama-led administration as �General Mosquito� sucking the tax-payer dry. Whiles calling on Ghanaians to strive at all cost to nib corruption in the bud, Divine Nkrumah alleged Ghana has lost whooping sums of monies to corruption this year. He cited the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) scandal as an example, and called for proper audit of Ghana�s account. �The corruption in Ghana is like a �General Mosquito�, thus, when it enters your room, it will bite, infect and probably kill (you).
