Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo-Ano South,Stephen Balado Manu has charged government to publish the report of the US team of forensic experts who investigated the cause of fires which ravaged various markets in Accra in the early part of the year. Government in a bid to determine the cause of the fire outbreaks in about six markets employed a US team of forensic experts to carry out investigations. The report has however not been released by government. But speaking to Citi News,Mr Balado Manu said government owed the victims of the market fires the responsibility of disclosing the findings of the forensic team. �We were in this country when markets got burnt left right centre, everywhere.The Ghanaian experts in fire could not unravel the misery. Experts were brought down from the United States of America to carry out investigations.Even if the US government footed their bill, it was tax payers� money that was used to take care of these experts when they came down. I am not against them coming to work for us, what I am asking is that where is their report? What were their findings? Ghanaians want to know,�he said. �As the chairman of the ECOWAS parliamentary committee on political affairs, peace and security at the ECOWAS level. No one can tell me that knowing the causes of our markets being burnt is classified information,�he added.
